Countries involved: 5/6
pupils aged 8/9.
Duration: 6 months - 1 h a week
Pupils explore different aspects and feactures of their enviroment and work collaboratively to collect evidences of their work. They reflect about changes overtime, explore live things typical from every enviroment and what we can do to protect them.They compare and find similarities and differences between different enviroment in the European countries. Many subjects are involved in the project: geography, science, technolgy, English and mother tongue; maths and arts. Videoconferences are used to present each other activities done.
Aims: To exchange information about enviroment in various countries in Europe. To effectively integrate ICT into learning. To learn about other countries in Europe through shared project work and shared results. To improve English communication skills. To build team-work skills. To reinforce sense of European belonging.

Work process:
1) introduce themselve through padlet
2) competition to choose a logo using trycider
3) pupils will be divided in mixed groups of 5/6 from different countries; each group explore a different enviroment ( mountain- river- hill- forest...).
Each group writes a list od information they need to find about their specific environment, using a google doc.
They can share photos of their own country and use a webquest to research information on internet.They share information using the twinspace forum.

4) Videoconferences will be arranged to present the work of each group to others
5) Every group will evaluate the job of another group using a rubric arranged by the teachers
6) Teachers arranged a quizz related to each enviroment ( plants, animals, people job, positive/ negative aspects of human intervention; improvement needed) to evaluate pupils achievement. Pupils solve quizz in group.

7) Results will be collected in an e-book. The format of ebook will be discuss on the forum.

Expected results: increase pupils motivation in learning; to know more about other countries in Europe; be able to use tecnolgies and internet resources to learn; increase learning abiliities; improve good results in geography, science,
english, technology; improve teamwork skills; cooperate with pair from other countries annd make friends.
Dissemination and exploitation: up to date results of each step in a panel wall in each school involved and on websites; share results with colleagues in the school, invite other classes to see the work in progress; informe local community and parents. Organize meeting with parents, colleagues, local community to show results. Share results with colleagues from other schools. Use facebook and eTwinning group to share results.
